In January 2011 I started Go Cook Yourself with my brother Rob. He does the cooking, I write and edit the content and manage the social media.

In three months we have gained over 1000 followers on Twitter and Tumblr, and have generated 20,000 pageviews;

On March 22nd 2011 we were featured on the Tumblr staff blog as one of their Tumblr Tuesday recommendations - no mean feat after only being established for two months;

Tumbeasts Post

In February I photoshopped a picture of the Tumblr Tumbeasts and posted it to Go Cook Yourself as a bit of fun. The post went viral almost instantly, generating 30,000 reblogs within the first 12 hours, and over 40,000 to date;

As well as being a lot of fun, Go Cook Yourself has been a great way to exercise my social media and web editing skills, but it wouldn't be a success without my exceptionally talented brother and his awesome recipes. You can follow him on Twitter @robcookyourself.
